The 4×200 relay team was one of six Annawan-Wethersfield entries wo qualify for the state track finals. Team members are Kyra Galbraith, Abbey Carman, Kyleigh Anderson and Tyra Jones.

On Wednesday, the Annawan-Wethersfield Titans girls ran at the 1A sectionals and qualified for the state championships in seven events.

Qualifiers were:

Abbey Carman, pole vault, 9’7”

Jordan Nelson, high jump, 4’11.75”

Camryn Anderson, 800m run, 2:25.06

The 4×800 relay, (Camryn Anderson, Kyleigh Anderson, Lucy Landwehr and Alexis Wilson), 10:12.61

The 4×400 relay (Abbey Carman, Kyleigh Anderson, Jordan Nelson and Camryn Anderson), 4:11.51

The 4×200 relay (Kyra Galbraith, Abbey Carman, Kyleigh Anderson and Tyra Jones), 1:50.82

The sectional meet was hosted by Erie-Prophestown. Also competing were Amboy, Cambridge, Port Byron (Riverdale), Erie-Prophestown, Orion, Morrison, Sherrard, DePue, Fulton, Rock Island (Alleman), Peru (St. Bede), Putnam County, Buerea Valley, Taylor Ridge (Rockridge), Sterling (Catholic Newman), and Spring Valley (Hall).

Non-qualifiers for A-W were:

Jorrie Miskinis took 11th with a time of 13.79

Alianna Martinez took 27th with a time of 15.35

400m dash:

Jordan Nelson took seventh with a time of 1:05.53

Lucy Landwehr took eighth with a time of 1:06.54

MaKenna VerKruyse took 27the with a time of 3:27.46

1600m:

Abigail VanDeSampel took 16th with a time of 7:08.51

Kayleigh Hampton took 19th with a time of 7:49.83

3200m:

Abigail VanDeSampel took 14th with a time of 15:08.20

Kyra Galbraith, Laura Senteney, Alianna Martinez and Tyra Jones took 11the  with a time of 54.95

Discus:

Lauren Davis took eighth with a throw of 30.71m

Ashley Oliver took 11th with a throw of 29.50m

Shot Put: 

Ashley Oliver took 10th with a throw of 9.04m

Lauren Davis took 17th with a throw of 8.56

Long Jump:

Tyra Jones took fifth with a jump of 4.90m

Triple Jump:

Kyra Galbraith took 14th with a jump of 8.95m

Megan Oliver took 21st with a jump of 8.16m

Pole Vault:

Lucy Landwehr took fifth with a height of 8’6.75

High Jump:

Kyleigh Anderson took 13th with a height of 4’9.75
