Karson Shrum (file photo) had a tenth place effort in the 3200 meter run Friday at the Top Times Meet in Bloomington. 

Several area boys’ track and field athletes competed at the IHSA Class 1A Top Times Indoor Track Meet Friday at the Shirk Center on the campus of Wesleyan University in Bloomington. 

The meet serves as a primer of sorts for the outdoor track season and offers a glimpse into the state finals meet which will be held May 18 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. 

Karson Shrum of Annawan/Wethersfield (3200M) and Landon Hulsing (High Jump) of Bureau Valley each placed tenth in their respective events. The 4×200 relay from Stark County finished in 15th place.
