On Thursday night, the seventh-grade Geese volleyball team defeated Princeville in the regional championship.
Princeville served first to start the first set, but the Geese quickly regained possession.
Both teams played hard and when the Geese started to pull away with a 7-4 lead, Princeville reacted quickly, putting points on the scoreboard tying the game 10 all.
With great serves and teamwork, the Geese won the first set with 25-14.

The Geese started off the second set with an early lead. To try and get back in the game, Princeville called a timeout.
When Princeville started to pull ahead of the Geese after the timeout, the Geese solidly answered back, taking the lead with a score of 19-15. But Princeville wasn’t done.
With energy and motivation, Princeville launched a comeback, and took the lead, 24-22.

But the efforts weren’t enough and the Geese came out on top, winning the championship game with a score of 25-22.
The seventh-grade now holds a record of 23-0. They will play again at 6 p.m. on Monday in Seneca.
The eighth-grade regionals will start this weekend at Wethersfield.
