Crossroads Cultural Connections will present an evening of heartfelt, authentic country music with the Rye Davis Band on Saturday, April 11 at the Bishop Hill Creative Commons.
Hailing from Pig, Ky., Rye Davis is a modern-day troubadour whose music captures the spirit and stories of everyday life in small-town America. With smooth, distinctive storytelling, Davis delivers songs that are deeply personal and universally relatable.
As Hillbilly Hippie Music Review notes, “Davis sings about the real life of everyday people and from his experiences growing up in small-town America.” The Amp highlights his “impressive talent for storytelling”, while Capture Kentucky describes his voices as carrying “a kindness, a warmth, a spark that always draws me in”.
His performances are known for their warmth, sincerity and energy – creating an atmosphere where audiences feel entertained and connected. Critics have praised his work for its authenticity and emotional resonance.
With a sound rooted in traditional country, delivered with a fresh and engaging presence, Davis is helping to reintroduce audiences to the kind of honest, down-home music that speaks directly to the heart.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional potluck dinner, offering guests a chance to gather and connect before the performance. The concert will follow at 7 p.m.
The event is open to all ages, with a suggested donation of $20-$30, all of which goes directly to the performers, supporting artists and sustaining live music.
