Crossroads Cultural Connections to present Ryan David Green, acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and one half of the nationally touring duo Ryanhood, in concert at Bishop Hill Creative Commons on Friday, Nov. 14.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Green has performed on four continents, been featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and is endorsed by Takamine Guitars. He’s twice been named “Best Guitarist” in the Tucson Music Awards, and in 2024 earned First Place in the American Songwriter Song Contest for Best Instrumental Composition. His music has also been featured on E!, Lifetime, and ABC Family/Freeform, and his duo Ryanhood has shared stages with Jason Mraz, Train and Matt Nathanson.

Critics have described his work as “courageous, evocative, and inspirational” – Newsbreak, “powerful and unpretentious” – Peter McLaughlin, National Flatpicking Champion, and “painting pictures with sensational melodic arrangements” – Christie Lenée, International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion.

“Ryan’s artistry embodies everything we love bringing to Bishop Hill – technical brilliance, emotional connection, and a welcoming spirit that resonates deeply in a small room,” said John Taylor of Crossroads Cultural Connections. “It’s an honor and privilege to host such a world-class musician in an intimate, community-centered space.”

The evening begins with an optional community potluck dinner at 6 p.m. – bring a dish to share if you’d like to join, followed by the concert at 7 p.m. This all-ages event encourages a suggested donation of $20–30, with all proceeds supporting the artist.
