
The World Rolle Bolle Tournament held earlier this month in Annawan drew contestants from as far away as Minnesota, Nebraska and Canada.
A number of competitors from the Kewanee area also took part.
The tournament had divisions for men and women.
First place in the men’s division went to Bill DeBrower of Victor, Iowa, Josh VanThournout of Newhall, Iowa and Mike Danay of Mankato, Minn.
Randy Manthe of Annawan was a second-place finisher.
Other area bolders who placed were Grant Baele of Kewanee, third; Blake Haverback of Atkinson and Tyler Hetizler of Annawan, eighth; and Chad Conway and Tim Conway of Kewanee, 10th place.

Winning first place in the women’s division were Michaelle Hostens of Colona, Payton Earle of Omaha, Neb. and Hannah Adam of Manitoba.
Finishers from the Kewanee area included Allison DeBrock and Kris DeBrock, both of Manlius and Lisa Marchand of Kewanee, all placing fourth.
