One member of the Kewanee High School girls bowling team will advance to sectional competition following her performance in a regional competition Friday.

Senior Kristina Quanstrom placed among the top 10 individuals in the regional in Morton with a score of 892.

KHS junior Sofia Sotelo placed 11th and is the sectional alternate.

As a team, Kewanee placed seventh among the nine schools in the regional with a team score of 3,825. Morton was in first place with a total of 5,679.

The top four teams advance to sectionals, along with the top 10 individuals not on an advancing team. 

Sectionals will be Friday in Joliet at Town & Country Lanes.
