Finley, the 6-year-old tabby is looking for a forever home.

Allow us to introduce you to Finley, a 6‑year‑old tabby who weighs in at a solid 14.5 pounds.

Finley can only be described as a big ol’ lovebug, and he came to the shelter about seven months ago. But this isn’t his first stay with the shelter. As a kitten, Finley was fostered by volunteers before being adopted into a loving home. Unfortunately, allergies in the household brought him back to the shelter through no fault of his own.

Finley has adjusted well to shelter life, but it’s clear he’d much rather have a family to call his own again. He’s not a fan of being picked up, but he’s more than happy to lean in for ear scratches and belly rubs.

Most days, you’ll find him lounging on top of a cat tower, watching the world go by through the window. He’s mostly independent, but he’ll play with other cats when they invite him—and he even has one special feline friend he likes to cuddle with.

Because Finley was previously declawed, he’ll need to remain an indoor cat. He’s a gentle, easygoing “Average Joe” who enjoys the simple things: a soft bed, a sunny spot and a little attention from the people he trusts. He’s fully vetted—neutered, microchipped, up to date on his rabies vaccine, flea‑treated and dewormed. At his size, he can be a bit lazy about grooming, so an occasional brushing will help him look and feel his best.

If you’d like to meet Finley, the lovebug, stop by the shelter during business hours or call 309‑852‑0040 to set up a visit.

We have a feeling it might be love at first sight—and who knows, he could be your St. Patrick’s Day good‑luck charm. His adoption fee is $50.
