Bowser, the lovable pup is waiting for a new home.

Let us introduce you to Bowser, a lovable young pit bull mix who has quickly become a shelter favorite.

Bowser arrived in February after a caring resident found him running loose. He was underweight at the time, but it didn’t take long to discover he had a hearty appetite and an even heartier zest for life. Now about a year old and weighing a healthy 54 pounds, he’s thriving.

This cheerful pup is a bundle of energy who loves being outdoors, soaking up sunshine and fresh air. Staff members joke about his “happy tail”—a long, constantly wagging whip of enthusiasm that matches the wide grin he wears almost all the time. His big tongue tends to hang out as if he’s always hoping a treat might magically appear.

Because of his size and spirited personality, Bowser may not be the best fit for families with small children. That joyful tail alone could knock a toddler off balance. But he’s as friendly as they come, eager to cuddle and quick to roll over for belly rubs. He’s also extremely treat‑motivated and beams with pride when he knows he’s earned one.

Bowser is fully vetted, including his rabies vaccine, deworming, flea treatment and a negative heartworm test. He was recently neutered and is scheduled to have his stitches removed this week.

If you’d like to meet this smiling, tail‑wagging charmer, stop by the shelter during visiting hours or call 309‑852‑0040.

Chances are he’ll be outside, ready to greet you with that dazzling grin. His adoption fee is $100.
