A Peoria man has been identified as the victim of homicide in the incident that occurred on June 8 at approximately 10:10 p.m. in the 800 block of West Division Street, according to a news release from the Kewanee Police Department.

Damon E. Foulks, 50, was found unresponsive by police and pronounced dead on the scene. A death investigation was launched by police in collaboration of the Illinois State Police and the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.

On June 11, an autopsy was completed and the results turned the investigation into an active homicide investigation, the release stated. At that time, police said they sought the assistance of the Henry Mercer County Investigative Task Force.
