More spring-like temperatures drew the crowd for the Kewanee Park District’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at Windmont Park on Saturday.

The park bustled with activity as kids and parents waited for the go-ahead to begin the hunt. Kids collected empty, plastic Easter eggs and then traded them in for a bagful of candy.

Age brackets for the hunt, that ranged from birth to 10 years old leveled the playing field as hundreds of egg hunters fanned out across the park.

On hand to add to the experience was Abilities Plus who provided an activity and a prize for participants. The Easter Bunny also posed for photos with kids and families.

Bucket fillers included volunteers from the park board, staff and spouses of park board commissioners.

With the mild temps and sunshine, kids were able to ditch their winter coats in favor of a lighter wrap.
