For history buffs, head over to Bishop Hill this Saturday. In honor of our country’s 250th birthday, the Bishop Hill Heritage Association is hosting a Civil War Union and Confederate encampment in the park. There will also be numerous free programs and events held throughout the village. For more details go to www.bishophillheritage.org or check out their Facebook page.

Music lovers check out the Saturday evening Ca d’Zan House concert in Cambridge that will feature singer and songwriter Keith Rae. There will be a community potluck at 6 p.m. with the concert taking place at 7 p.m. But be sure to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets or you’ll be sitting on the ground.
