Friday evening Crossroads Cultural Connections will present the Celtic folk band Dallahan at the Bishop Hill Commons 309 N. Bishop Hill St. There will be a social hour and potluck from 6-7 p.m. with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Hailing from Scotland, this talented group of men bring their unique sound back to the US after a 10-year hiatus.

On Saturday and Sunday Kewanee High School will present the musical comedy “Once Upon A Mattress” by Mary Rodgers. Based on the fairy tale of the Princess and the Pea the play revolves around the comedic efforts of Princess Winnefred the Woebegone proving her meddle and worth to win the hand of Prince Dauntless.

The KHS Theater Department is one of the most talented in the state which is evident in their plays and performances. Tickets are just $5 a person. Go spend a couple hours in the company of good music, laughs and at the same time support a hometown school and kids.
