This weekend offers up a couple great opportunities to help out local organizations through their yearly fundraisers. First up in the Kiwanis Pancake Day on Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at 108 E. Central Blvd. So, stop in, have a great meal and help out this organization that supports local youth along with community projects and organizations.

Sunday the Henry County Humane Society will hold their “Barkin-for-BINGO” at the Flemish American Club at 313 N. Burr Blvd from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be prizes awarded every round and food will be available for purchase offered through Mark Eilers from 11 a.m. till gone. This event helps support the animals at Kewanee’s Animal Shelter. Both events promise to be a good time.

If you are looking for music, then head over to Bishop Hill where Rye Davis will take the stage on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and Dylan Doyle will appear on Sunday at 7 p.m. Both concerts will have a community potluck prior to the performances at 6 p.m. These events are presented by Crossroads Cultural Connections at 309 N.
