The annual Abilities Plus open house, held on Sunday, Dec. 8, was well-attended and this year, attendees could get their photos taken with the Grinch and an elf.
The money raised from the open house helps to fund the agency’s programs.
In addition to a bake sale and raffle, the organization also distributed its preordered wreaths, crafted by Abilities Plus clients.
Abilities Plus is a not-for-profit organization located in Kewanee and serves individuals of all ages with disabilities. The organization was founded in 1959 with a class of seven children and now serves approximately 250 children and adults from Henry, Stark and Western Bureau counties.
