It was a windy, downright bitter Halloween Tuesday, but the monsters, goblins and clowns ignored the weather and turned out for the fun. At promptly 5 pm, dozens of trick or treaters made their way up and down Prospect Street, Kewanee’s favorite candy lane, and loaded their bags and buckets with sweet goodies.

Even Kewanee Police Officer Trey Kazubowski, who was assigned traffic duty at the corner of East Prospect and Vine streets, got into the act, passing out fun-sized treats to those who braved the cold, even if braving that cold required a coat over the top of their costumes.
