Kewanee girls basketball standout Mya Dearing will be taking her hoop skills to Harper College.

Mya finished her girls basketball career with 1,125 points, putting her in seventh place all-time at KHS.  She was named to the first-team Three Rivers Athletic Conference East all-conference team in 22-23, 23-24 and 24-25. 

She helped lead her team to the TRAC East conference title during her senior year.William Rainey Harper College is a public community college in Palatine, Ill. It was established by referendum in 1965 and opened in September 1967.

Harper College is named for William Rainey Harper, a pioneer in the junior college movement in the United States and the first president of the University of Chicago.

The college has a 200-acre campus, approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. It has an enrollment of 13,444 students.
