By The Kewanee Voice    June 9, 2026

Lavender Crest Winery in Colona will be hosting the chief operating officer of Van Ahn and Company, Inc., Kristi Van Ahn Kjeseth as a featured speaker of a market outlook seminar.

Van Ahn Kjeseth began her career with Van Ahn and Company, Inc. in 2009 as a part time employee. She was simultaneously finishing up her degree in finance with a minor in ag business at North Dakota University.

“There are many things that I love about my job, but what I love the most is the integral part of relationship building we get to do with our producers for marketing. It is very important to remove the emotion involved in marketing and someone helping you do that along the way, is key,” she said.

She takes pride in the family business and hopes that it continues to flourish in generations to come. Van Ahn Kjeseth is now married and raising three daughters, reflecting the family dynamic she grew up with.

The seminar will be presented as a series, and the cost for the entire series is $90, but pre-registered guests can purchase a single session for $35. Guests who are not pre-registered can still purchase a single session for $40.

The seminar will take place Tuesday, June 30 at 6:15 p.m. at Lavender Crest Winery in Colona. Dinner will be served, followed by the local grain market update from Tom Parchert of River Valley Cooperative.

Reservations are required and must be made by Tuesday, June 23. To guarantee your spot, contact the Henry County Farm Bureau at 309-937-2411 or email manager@henrycofarmbureau.org.
