The Galva Arts Council’s sixth annual Tour of Lights is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7 and the council is actively seeking homes to add to the tour list.

Historically, the tour has featured as many as 20 homes, and tour planners are hoping for more this year.

Festivities begin at the Arts Council building on Exchange Street, where coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies are available. Maps directing people to the homes are provided. Following the self-guided tour, participants are invited back to the Arts Council where they cast their vote for the tour winner.

According to the Arts Council president, Linda Getter, she needs the names of those participating very soon.

“If I get notice by Wednesday, Nov. 20, it will help me get the map and lineup completed,” she said, “I can be reached through the Galva Arts Council Facebook page or by calling Getter at 309-371-6955, adding that the tour is “a great way to showcase our town. And is just one of the many activities sponsored by the Galva Arts Council.”
