On Friday night, the Annawan-Wethersfield Titan seniors played their last home game against the Princeville Princes.
This game was full of suspense and anxiety but the Titans managed to win 17-14 after their most hard-fought victory this season.
The entirety of the first quarter included both teams pouncing back and forth but ending the quarter 0-0.
In the second quarter, the Princes scored the first touchdown settling the score to be 0-7. This touchdown caused many fans to begin to worry but they knew it wasn’t over yet and the game had just begun.
Soon after, Devon Horrie scored the first touchdown for the Titans to tie the score back to 7-7.
Yet the Princes weren’t satisfied with a tied match before halftime. They pulled through with another touchdown to get the lead 7-14 with barely 24 seconds on the clock before the quarter ended.

In the third quarter, with continued hustle from both teams and exquisite effort, the Titans tied the game again with a touchdown by Cole Goodley.
Again in the fourth quarter, the Titans and the Princes fought hard, constantly going after the ball and running it up the field, but the Titans gained the upper hand with a three-point lead after Jonathon Torres’s field goal to make the final score 17-14.
This game was the Titans’ hardest victory of the season yet, and despite being down in the first half they managed to persevere and conquer over Princeville.
