On Wednesday, Nov. 26, the Kewanee High School wrestlers took on Monmouth-United and Oneida (ROWVA) and defeated both teams with ease, taking down Monmouth United (78-0) and ROWVA (66-12).

These wins start the Boilers season off with a bright future ahead as they will face 15 ranked teams this season.

Kewanee had some speedy success against both teams with sophomore Jermain McKnight Jr.’s win by fall at 0:20 over ROWVA, senior Kingston Peterson’s win at 0:59 over ROWVA and senior Brayden Johnson’s win by fall at 0:29 over Monmouth United.

The wrestlers will travel to Sherrard Thursday and face Mercer County along with Sherrard. Another match will take place against Riverdale and Alleman Catholic on Friday.
