The Kewanee wrestling team opened the 2023-24 season with convincing wins over Monmouth United (72-12) and ROWVA (60-24) Wednesday night at H.F. Brockman Gym. 

Scoring double wins for Kewanee were Quentin Bloome at 138 lbs, Ben Taylor at 144, Landon Mason at 150 and Daniel Boswell at 285.

At 106, Gideon Richards scored a win by fall (WBF) against United and won via forfeit against ROWVA. 

At 120, Kingston Peterson scored a WBF against ROWVA and won via forfeit against United.

Scoring wins by WBF against United were Landyn Greenhagen at 132, Waylan Lambert at 165, Brayden Johnson at 175 and Alejandra Duarte at 215. 

Scoring wins by WBF against ROWVA were Caitlin Boswell at 113 and Jaxon Janey at 190.

At 126, Hunter Vancil won via forfeit in both of his matches.

Scoring via forfeit against United was Trenton Edends at 113. Douglas Swearingin won via forfeit at 215 against ROWVA.
