A banquet was held in the Brockman Gymnasium to honor the Kewanee High School students inducted into the National Honor Society in 2024.
The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 3 and featured speaker Commander Adam Cernovich who spoke to attendees about the importance of the NHS and the pillars that it represents of character, leadership, scholarship and service.
Cernovich told the assembled group, which included new inductees and the two-year members, that he hopes they will continue to use those pillars in their lives.

The ceremony was led by President Jillian Bennison and Vice President Eleanor Burkhart, Secretary Avery Yepsen and Treasurer Cooper Bates. There were 38 inductees this school year and 30 returning members. Dinner for the attendees was prepared and served by Pat Damron and the KHS cafeteria staff.
