
East Moline United Lady Panthers defeated the varsity Boiler Girls 13-3 on Friday.
The Lady Panthers jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after an error and added to their lead again in the bottom of the second and third innings after a sacrifice fly, and a single to center field, each scoring one run.
Audrey Clucas took the loss for Kewanee. The hurler went two innings, giving up eight runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out none and walking one.
East Moline accumulated 11 hits in the game.
Addy Yepsen, Remy Hicks, and Rylee Blades each collected one hit for Kewanee Boiler Girls.
On Saturday the Boiler Girls had trouble keeping up with Stark County in a 6-0 loss.
Lyric Duytschaver opened the game for Kewanee and took the loss.
Kieryn Abernathy, Duytschaver, Mikayla Ouart and Lily Lee each collected one hit for Kewanee.
