On Tuesday, the Kewanee High School varsity boys golf team traveled to Gibson Woods golf course in Monmouth.

“At a course that requires a lot of careful tee shots, the team was able to shoot a 194,” Coach Brett VanDeWostine said.

Senior Owen Laue led the way with a 44, while teammate Reid Nichols shot a 45. Owen was the meet medalist for the event.

Other KHS scores were Jack Anderson 54, Lincoln Throneburg 55, James McGarvey 56 and Easton Blake 51.
