The Kewanee Boilermakers cross country runners competed in the Dale Donner Invite on Saturday.

Due to some minor injuries only three athletes finished the race, Coach Jeff King said.

Junior Jendayia Crowe continued her improvement this year finishing 33rd with a personal best of 21:12.

“Crowe dropped over a minute off of her previous best and is running times that could get her to sectionalm,” King said.

Esmeralda Martinez also dropped her time to 25:19, a new season best by 25 seconds.

In the men’s race Jason Rusk finished in 19:12 and is pushing to get back to last year’s times.

The Boilermakers host two home meets this week at Baker Park on Tuesday and Saturday.
