Kewanee High School boys and girls cross country runners competed Saturday in the Elmwood Cross-Country Invitatiional at Maple Lane Country Club in Elmwood.

Natalee Martin finished 37th in the girls 3-mile race in a time of 20:40:00. Freshman Nolie Charlet ran the course in 22:48.20 for 87th place.

Alejandra Martinez was 100th in 23:24.20 and Esmerelda Martinize finished 117th in 24:17.30.

Stark County’s Dusti Smith was second. Her time of 18:28.90 was just 23 seconds behind the winner.

Other runners fot Stark County, which finished ninth among the 19 teams in the meet, were:

Cheyenh Smith, 47th; Keagan Hamilton, 80th; Sarah Kraklow 113th; Nina Longabaugh 119th; and Kelsey Hawley, 158th.

Hunter Vancil was the first Boiler home in the boys race, finishing 25th in a time of 17:10.90. Chase Palm was 56th in a time of 18:02. 70. Jason Rusk was 128th in 20:29 and Mitchal Thorp was 134th with a time of 20:50.10.

Stark County’s lone runner, Ethan Grinnell, was 169th.
