The Kewanee Schools Foundation will extend the deadline for ticket purchases for “Escape to Margaritaville” scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island. The registration deadline is now Friday, August 11.

“With music and lyrics by Jimmy Buffet, it is sure to be a popular event,” said Mindi Goard, foundation assistant.

The goal of the event is to raise $14,000 for performing arts technology to benefit students as well as the community attending events held at Kewanee High School. The performing arts program includes theater, drama, band, choir, Group Interpretation and speech, giving students the opportunity to express themselves in creative ways.

Tickets to the event are $150 each through Aug. 11. Tickets will not be available after Aug. 11.
