Shop local this weekend at the Kewanee’s Christmas Open House.

Kewanee’s downtown will sparkle with holiday spirit as many local shops roll out the welcome mat for a festive Christmas Open House Weekend, happening this Friday through Sunday, Nov. 14–16.

Some of the participating businesses will feature specials, refreshments and giveaways throughout the weekend.

The businesses involved in the open house include: Blooms by Heartfelt, Co Co’s Coffee Shop, Empire Bookshop, Breedloves Sporting Goods, Blissful Branch, Johnsons Hub, Johnson’s Appliance, Jessie’s Closet, Country Morning Coffee, and Prairie Chicken Haus.

Shoppers are encouraged to “shop small” and “shop local” during the event, supporting the community’s independent retailers this holiday season.
