Hog Days will be all about the kids on Monday, Sept. 4. Events and activities begin at 11 am with magic shows, a rock climbing wall, a petting zoo and more.

Here’s a list of the events planned:

-Magic Matt’s Fun Show will be held in the Peoples National Bank parking lot. Two shows will be scheduled at noon and again at 2:30 pm. The show promises family fun entertainment designed for kids 10 and under. Please bring lawn chairs for seating.
-Rock Climbing Wall will be placed at the PNB parking lot and include certified personnel for safety. Kids can try to climb as high as they can on the 15 ft. wall.
-Miller’s Petting Zoo will be at Second and Main streets. Over 30 animals will be on hand for petting. There is no charge to enter the zoo, but cups of feed are available for a small charge.
-Kewanee Police and Fire will be at the PNB parking lot. Both the police and fire personnel want people to know that emergency services are always on their side.
-Ms. Fancy Pants will be at the PNB parking lot for makeovers. Expect lines at that booth!
-Kiddie Tractor Pull will be held at Second and Tremont streets. Who will be King of the tractors? The event will be held between 11 am and 3 pm on Second Street between Main and Tremont.
-Adam Belmares Caricatures will also be in the PNB parking lot drawing folks and making them wonder, “Do I really look like that?” Probably a little.
-Coal Black Exotics, also at PNB parking lot, will have lizards and reptiles, and present educational exhibits. Coal Black Exotics appears at schools all over the Midwest. Catch their exhibit between 11 am to 3 pm.
