Cross country runners from Galva and Kewanee competed Thursday in a quadrangular meet at Rockridge High School against the host school and Orion.

In the boys race, Galva’s Ian Pacheco placed second with a time of 19:18.86. He finished 12 seconds behind the race winner, Rockridge’s Colton Reed.

Jason Rusk of Kewanee ran third in 19:33.14. Two more KHS runners, Hunter Vancil and Mitchal Thorp, placed sixth and seventh, respectively, with times of 21:09.61 and 21: 20.49.

For the girls, Kewanee’s Natalee Martin finished second in 21:33.30.
