The Kewanee Boilers topped the field of nine teams Friday at the Paul Parker Co-Ed Invitational in Riverdale. Kewanee scored 160 points and won six events to claim the championship trophy. 

Riverdale was second with 124.5 points and Morrison placed third with 103 points. Rounding out the field were:  4.) Sterling Newman 83  5.)  Stark County 77  6.) Cambridge 55  7.) Galva 16.5  8.) Knoxville 15  9.) Savanna (West Carroll) 11

Kewanee sophomore Anthony Padilla continues to dominate in the 110 meter hurdles. He’s won the event in all five outdoor meets that he’s competed in this season. He also won the 300 meter hurdles Friday and he has three wins in that event and one runner-up effort. 

Junior Leocadio Gandarilla of Kewanee picked up his fourth win of the season in the shot put and had the winning discus toss to claim his second win of the night. 

Kewanee teammates Dontaveon Thomas and James Roginski finished in a first place tie in the high jump at 5′ 8″. Thomas, a junior, also won the triple jump for the Boilers. 

Baptiste Robineau and Matthew Bowser of Stark County finished first and second in the 200 meter dash.
