The Fighting Illini baseball team defeated Indiana State 4-1 Friday night and will now play No.1 seed Kentucky (41-14) at 5 p.m. Saturday on ESPN+

The Wildcats, the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, defeated Western Michigan 10-8 on Friday afternoon. The winner of that game would move on to the championship round of the regional on Sunday.

Illinois (35-19) snapped a four-game NCAA Tournament losing streak.
