A field of about 300 runners enjoyed ideal weather Saturday for the 48th annual Hog Days Stampede.

Temperatures were in the 70s and there was little wind over the four-mile course.

Jake Alexander’s time of 20:50 was a little over a minute off the course record for men.

For the women, Jacki Mateas set the pace with a time of 27:22.

Central School eighth grader Walker Colomer finished first in the mile run with a time of 5:40. He came in just five seconds ahead of the first woman to finish, Brooklyn Blahnik at 5:45.
