
Maddox Heitzler amassed more than 100 yards on two first-half touchdown runs as the Annawan-Wethersfield Titans got their fifth win of the season Friday over Rushville-Industry.
Heitzler took off on a 76-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Devon Horrie gave the Titans a two-touchdown lead by the end of the quarter.
Heitzler’s second touchdown, a 62-yard run in the second quarter, made the score 21-6 Annawan-Wethersfield.
Heitzler added one more to his touchdown total with a 24-yard run in the third quarter that rounded out the scoring for the night.
The Titans amassed 454 yards rushing on the night. Heitzler totaled 205 yards on 11 carries, Horrie carried 14 times for 199 yards and Nic Thurston chipped in 91 yards on 16 carries.
The win puts the Titans at 5-0 on the season heading into Friday’s home game with Stark County, which is also 5-0.
