The Neponset Park Improvement group is planning a golf fundraiser Sept. 19 at Hidden Lake County Club, rural Sheffield.

The preferred-ball format tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Participants are encouraged to register ahead of time by contacting Al Corwin at 815-303-0200 but are also welcome to register the morning of the tournament.  Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

The cost is $250 per four-person team, which covers golf fees, a cart, lunch, as well as four mulligans and drive-extending throws.

There will also be 50/50 raffles, fun activities on several holes, and door prizes.

Proceeds will go toward continued improvements in Scott Park in Neponset.
