The city of Geneseo will be celebrating the grand opening of Chances Unique & Collectibles, a shopping destination for one-of-a-kind treasures.

Store owners and operators Juanita Brown and Rhonda DeBlick are excited to welcome the community into their space and share everything Chances has to offer.

“This grand opening is a celebration of creativity, connection and all things unique. We can’t wait to welcome everybody to the Chances family,” said Brown.

Brown and DeBlick are inviting residents to the ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. The grand opening event will feature an all-day open house where guests can enjoy light refreshments and a full day of activities, including craft classes and a spring-themed photo booth experience.

Chances is a proud woman-owned and operated business. Located at 104 S. State St, the business was established by Brown and DeBlick in 2024. Their goal is to create a unique and memorable shopping experience through the selection of curated gifts.

“What really makes Chances unique is that we are a destination for creativity for residents and visitors,” said Brown. “Between our craft classes and our ‘Madness With Quarters’ events, there is always something happening.”

Chances Unique & Collectibles is inviting the community to show its support by attending the event and experiencing what makes the new store a special addition to Geneseo’s downtown.

“Our goal is to give people another great reason to shop local. When you visit us, you’re not just browsing shelves, you’re getting a fun, hands-on experience,” said Brown.
