Maria GItierrez, 36, Monmouth, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 200 block of SE 2nd Street.
She was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a car vs deer accident several miles north of town. The deer ran off, and Henry County handled the crash report.
Police responded to a suspicious noise complaint in the 1200 block of NW 3rd Avenue. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate anything/anyone.

Laura McNeeley, 63, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Division Street. She was released with a required court date.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on SW 4th Street. The subject was fine.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 200 block of SW 7th Street. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
Police responded to an attempted burglary from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Division Street. The suspect fled on foot and was not located. No entry was made.

Police responded to a parking complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. The driver was able to move the vehicle.
Police responded to an activated panic alarm in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Police responded to a juvenile complaint in the 100 block of Market Street.
Police responded to reports of a subject walking with a long gun along Route 34 several miles east of town. The officer located the subject, who was carrying a crossbow and was legally hunting in the area.

Police responded to a complaint involving a deceased cat on the roadway in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street. The cat’s body was removed.

Abigail Camacho, 26, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of North Center Avenue.

Police responded to a barking dog complaint in the 400 block of SE 6th Avenue. The owners took the animal inside.
