May 20:

Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle that drove onto private property and struck two parked cars in the 100 block of SE 6th Avenue. Henry County handled the crash and issued several citations.

Police provided a standby with IL DCFS employees in the 1000 block of NW 7th Avenue.

Police and Stark Co Medic were dispatched to a dog bite incident with two injured subjects in the 400 block of NW 4th Street. One of the injuries was severe. Both subjects were transported for treatment.

Raul Mangaun, 18, Rock Island, was arrested for having no valid driver’s license and operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.

Police conducted a welfare check of two small children at a residence on SW 4th Street. They were fine.

Police noticed that the crossing arms were activated and down with no trains present at all Galva railroad crossings while patrolling. BNSF was contacted for repairs.

Jacob McDonald, 39, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for burning on a non-burn day following an illegal burning complaint in the 300 block of SE 3rd Street. The fire was extinguished.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up in the 300 block of SE Street. It was determined to be a verbal domestic dispute between father and son.
