An illegal burning complaint was reported in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street. Police spoke to a resident who was burning furniture. The fire was extinguished.

Police responded to a city ordinance violation about a swimming pool without a fence or barrier in the 800 block of NE 3rd Avenue.

A welfare check was conducted at a residence in the 100 block of NE 9th Street. The subject was reported to be fine.

Police responded to a solicitation complaint in the 300 block of Swank Street. The subject was located and referred to City Hall.

Police responded to a child custody dispute in the 200 block of NW 4th Street.

July 11:

William Schultz, 76, Chicago, was arrested for driving while his license was revoked, operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance, following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Commercial Street. He was released with a required court date.

Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 300 block of SE 6th Street.

July 12:

Police responded to a report of a tree down in the roadway from recent storms in the 400 block of SE 1st Street. The street department was contacted for removal.

A welfare check was conducted in the 100 block of SE 1st Street. The subject was reported to be fine.
