Roy Orwig, 46, Kewanee, was arrested for violating an order of protection after police responded to a complaint in the 800 block of NE 2nd Street. Orwig was located north of town and taken to Henry County Jail.

July 16:

While patrolling, police noticed a crossing arm malfunction at the Exchange Street railroad crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.

Police responded to a soliciting complaint in the 600 block of SW 2nd Avenue. Several subjects were located and referred to City Hall for a permit.

Police assisted a motorist with a flat tire in the 600 block of South Center Avenue.

July 17:

Police met with a subject at the Galva Police Department about an impounded vehicle.

Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of Market Street. There was no damage noted.

July 18:

Ashton Powers, 28, Galva, was arrested for criminal damage to property following police response to a complaint of property damage in the 1000 block of SW 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.

Police responded to an illegal fireworks complaint in the NW quadrant of town. The officer was not able to locate the source.

July 20:

Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at a business after hours in the 100 block of Market Street.

Police responded to a two-vehicle damage-only accident in the 400 block of SW 1st Avenue. A crash report was completed.

Stephany Pugliano, 43, Toulon, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Center Avenue. She was released with a required court date.
