Police responded to a request from a subject to deliver a message for a Galesburg business in the 900 block of North East Seventh Street.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call that was later determined to be a misdial in the 900 block of South East Second Street.

Police located a disabled semi-tractor trailer in the 500 block of West Division Street.

Jan. 16:

Police spoke with a subject over the phone concerning a civil issue over non-payment for snow removal.

Leon James, 65, Oklahoma City, was arrested for improper operation of a commercial vehicle after it was discovered he lacked a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). His semi, which was blocking traffic, was moved to a different location and James was released with a court date.

Police met with a subject who had found a debit card in the 300 block of South West Second Avenue.

Police responded to an animal at large complaint in the 800 block of North East Third Avenue.

Police assisted the Galva Fire Department and Stark County Medic with a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of North Center Avenue. A crash report was completed.

Jan. 17:

Police responded to an accident involving a pickup truck and a power pole at the intersection of North West Fifth Street and North West Fifth Avenue. No damage or injuries were reported.

Police responded to a complaint involving criminal damage that was later found to be weather-related in the 200 block of North East Third Street.

Police assisted the Galva Fire Department with an activated fire alarm in the 1000 block of Courtyard Estates.

Jan. 18:

Police responded to a request for a welfare check at a residence on North East Fourth Street.

Police responded to a request to retrieve a wallet that was dropped in a business parking lot in the 00 block of South West Second Street.

Police responded to a request to a complaint of a ruptured water line inside a business in the 00 block of South West Second Street. The Galva Water Department was contacted to assist.

Jan. 19:

Police assisted a motorist in freeing a vehicle from a snow drift in the 00 block of North East Second Street.

Police responded to a request to assist a motorist in the 900 block of North West Sixth Street. A towing service was contacted for assistance.

Police responded to a request to assist the Henry County Sheriff’s Department with a K9 traffic stop several miles West of Galva.

Jan. 20:

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call that was later determined to be a misdial in the 00 block of South West Fourth Street.

Police responded to a report of a loose cat in the 600 block of South West Fourth Street.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call that was later determined to be caused by a child playing with the phone in the 00 block of South East Sixth Street.

Police assisted the Henry County Sheriff’s Department with a civil paper service in the 00 block of South West Fourth Street.

Jan. 21:

Police assisted the Henry County Sheriff’s Department and the deputy’s K9 partner in the 300 block of Front Street.

Police responded to a complaint of an open door in the 800 block of North West Fifth Avenue.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call that was determined to be a misdial by a child playing with the phone in the 300 block of North East First Street.
