Bradley Yelm, 36, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for allowing a dog to run at large following a police response to a report of an aggressive loose dog in the 100 block of NE 5th St.
Police responded to a report of an injured elderly subject who was found to have fallen and sustained facial injuries in the 300 block of Commercial Street. Stark County Medic was dispatched for treatment/transport.
Police met with a Galva sex offender to change their address on the registration. The form was completed and emailed to Henry County for LEADS entry.
Nathan Appler, 36, Dewitt, IA, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.
Dec. 10:
Police assisted the Galva Street Department in attempting to remove a disabled vehicle so they could do tree work. The vehicle was inoperable. A city ordinance warning letter was sent to the vehicle owner.
Police met with a resident who surrendered his FOID card and completed the required paperwork at the Galva Police Department.
Police responded to a reckless driving complaint in the 1000 block of North Center Avenue. The suspect vehicle was not located.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on NE 1st Avenue. The subject was fine.
A Northbound vehicle drove past a police officer at a high rate of speed and accelerated rapidly while the officer was conducting a stationary radar patrol on North Center Avenue. The officer began to pursue the suspect vehicle north of town but terminated the pursuit for safety reasons.
Dec. 11:
Police responded to an activated residential burglar alarm in the 1000 block of NW 5th Avenue. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Police assisted the fire department with a call involving an activated carbon dioxide detector about one mile south of town. It was determined to be a faulty alarm.
Police responded to a disturbance involving a group of juveniles trying to fight others in the 200 block of NW 4th Avenue. The situation was defused.
Dec. 12:
Angelo Dandrea, 87, Galva, was arrested for operating a vehicle with a canceled driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Market Street. He was issued a citation with a required court date and then given a ride home.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 700 block of NW 1st Avenue. It was determined to be children playing with a parent’s phone.
Jennifer Simpkins, 39, Rock Island, was arrested for driving with a revoked driver’s license following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Market Street. She was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a report of a pickup truck being driven recklessly several miles east of town. The officer was not able to locate.
Police responded to a reckless driver/speeding complaint in the 400 block of SE 4th Street. The officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
Aylayna Simmons, 18, Oneida, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE Industrial Avenue. She was released with a required court date.

Timothy Eland, 62, Chillicothe, MO, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.
Michael Gustafson, 56, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance following a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.

Police responded to a landlord/tenant dispute in the 600 block of NW 7th Street.
Police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
Roseline Loritan, 32, Bradford, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.

James Purnell, 41, Homewood, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for a mandatory insurance violation and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. He was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a complaint of an unruly customer in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street.
Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the 100 block of NE 9th Street.
Dec. 15:
Police responded to a report of a subject screaming and yelling in the 900 block of West Division Street. The subject appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
Police conducted a welfare check on a subject in the 300 block of Front Street.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street. The caller was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 open line call in the 300 block of NW 3rd Avenue. It was determined to be a misdial.
