Police responded to a disturbance involving a subject yelling at school children waiting for the school bus in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street.
Police responded to a complaint involving child custody issues in the 300 block of NW 4th Avenue, and responded again for a civil standby to retrieve property in the 600 block of NE 2nd Street.
While patrolling, police assisted a motorist needing directions to Williamsfield in the 200 block of SW 6th Street.
Police responded to a disturbance possibly involving a long gun inside a vehicle in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street. The officers and Henry County deputies were not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
Police met with a resident at the Galva Police Department to file a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred several weeks ago.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on NW 5th Avenue. The subject was fine.
Dec. 9:
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 300 block of SE 2nd Street. The officer was unable to load the very large dogs into the car and was unable to reach the owner. The officer walked the dogs home and secured them on a porch.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on NW 3rd Avenue after a subject did not show up for work and wasn’t answering the phone. The subject was located and was fine.
Police met with a resident at the Galva Police Department to update their annual sex offender registration. The completed form was sent to Henry County for LEADS entry.
Dec. 10:
Police responded to a disturbance and trespassing complaint in the 100 block of NW 7th Avenue.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on NE 4th Street. The subject was fine.
Police responded to a child custody dispute in the 200 block of NW 2nd Street.
Dec. 11:
Police responded to a trespassing/parking complaint in the 300 block of NE 1st Street.
While patrolling, police noticed the Chester Street railroad crossing arms were activated with no trains present. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang up in the 200 block of South Exchange Street. It was determined to be an accidental dial.
Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle in the 100 block of North Exchange Street. Tarleton’s was contacted and was able to unlock it.
Police delivered a message for the Kewanee Police Department concerning a wallet being found in their jurisdiction in the 00 block of NE 4th Avenue.
Police responded to a loose and aggressive dog complaint in the 100 block of Market Street. The animal was returned to its residence by a passerby.
Police assisted Henry County with checking on a vehicle in the ditch on Route 34 about 2 miles west of town. The vehicle was towed.

Police conducted a low speed vehicle inspection in the 700 block of NW 5th Avenue.
Police responded to a disorderly conduct – telephone harassment complaint in the 00 block of SE 2nd Avenue.
Dec. 13:
Police responded to a reckless driving complaint in the 600 block of North Center Avenue. The officer was not able to locate the vehicle.
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 200 block of SW 3rd Street. The dog had been located by its owner and returned home.
Dec. 14:
Police met with a resident at the Galva Police Department to renew their annual sex offender registration. A completed form was sent to Henry County for LEADS entry.
Police assisted a motorist who had locked their keys inside their vehicle in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street. Henry County also assisted.
