A 17-year-old Galva resident was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way following a traffic stop at the intersection of North East Ninth Street and North Center Avenue.

Wednesday:

Police responded to a request for a welfare check of a subject in the 00 block of South West Fourth Street.

Police were called to assist at the Henry County Courthouse on a report of an armed subject. The situation was resolved and the response was canceled.

Thursday:

A complaint involving harassment was reported in the 00 block of SW 4th South West Fourth Street.

A report of a wanted subject walking from Kewanee to Galva was recieved. The subject was not located.

Sonny Wheeler, 34, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration for no insurance following a traffic stop in the 00 block of South West Second Street. He was issued a notice to appear.

Police spoke to a subject by telephone about retrieving an impounded vehicle.

Friday:

Police located a dog at large in the 1000 block of West Division Street, but were unable to catch the dog, nor locate the owner.

Hector Cantu, 33, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration for no insurance following a traffic stop in the 800 block of South East Second Street. He was given a notice to appear.

Alan Wesley, 21, Peoria, was arrested for domestic battery in the 300 block of South East Third Avenue. He was taken to the Henry County Jail.

Police responded to a complaint involving dogs at large in the 600 block of North West Seventh Street.

Saturday:

A single-vehicle accident was reported on Midland Road, north of Route 34.

Police assisted Knox County officers with a male subject threatening people with a knife south of Galva.

Cory Blakley, 40, Galva, was cited for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 00 block of North East Third Street. He was issued a notice to appear.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call in the 00 block of South East Sixth Street.

Police responded to a report of a fight in progress in the 200 block of North East Third Street. It was determined to be a group of children playing outside.

Sunday:

Belinda Wallenfeldt, 48, Galva, was issued a citation for expired registration following a traffic stop in the 200 block of South West Second Avenue.
