Police responded to a complaint of harassment through electronic communication in the 400 block of SE 1st Street.
Police assisted a subject who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street.
Police responded to a two-vehicle accident with damage only in the 100 block of NE 6th Street. A crash report was completed.
Police located a vehicle that appeared to have broken down in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.
Kayla Gettings, 19, Bradley, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of North Center Avenue.
Dec. 23:
An animal at large was reported in the 00 block of SW 6th Street. The owner was contacted, and they picked up the dog.
Police removed an unwanted subject in the 300 block of Front Street.
Dec. 24:
Police removed an unwanted subject who was causing a disturbance in the 200 block of South Exchange Street. The subject was a sex offender and was ultimately transported to the Galva Police Department, where a sex offender registration form was completed. The form was completed and emailed to Henry County for LEADS entry.
Police removed an unwanted subject in the 300 block of Front Street.
Police responded to a disturbance involving a patron damaging property in the 300 block of Commercial Street.
Dec. 25:
Police removed an unwanted subject who was causing a disturbance in the 300 block of Commercial Street. The subject was removed and transported to a nearby town.
Police responded to a report of criminal damage to a vehicle after a rear window was found to be broken in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.
Police responded to an illegal fireworks complaint in the 800 block of NE 1st Avenue.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of SW 1st Avenue. This complaint was unfounded.
Matthew Reges, 29, Galva, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for failing to appear on a theft charge after an attempt to serve a warrant in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. He was also given notice to appear in court on a charge of obstructing justice after giving police a different name on an earlier complaint. He was taken to Henry County Jail.
Police responded to a request to watch for a reckless driver who was reported several miles north of town. The officer was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
Dec. 26:
Police checked on an open door in the 00 block of Front Street. It was secured after checking the building.
Police provided a civil stand by to exchange property in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street.
Police responded to a complaint of a loose pit bull in the 100 block of Main Street. The dog was secured by its owner.
Dec. 27:
Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang up complaint in the 700 block of West Division Street. It was determined to be an accidental misdial from a passing motorist.
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 600 block of NW 7th Street.
Dec. 28:
Police assisted a subject who appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis in the 700 block of NW 4th Street.
Police responded to a disturbance complaint involving an out of control juvenile in the 200 block of NW 2nd Avenue.
Police conducted a welfare check at a residence on SW 4th Street. The subject was fine.
