Police responded to a disturbance after a subject reported yelling in the 00 block of SW 9th Avenue. The officer located two adult subjects having a disagreement. They denied needing police service.
Police responded to a complaint involving theft from a motor vehicle in the 00 block of SW 4th Street. Video footage was reviewed, and the report was considered unfounded.
Police responded to a damage to property complaint regarding a vehicle driving without a wheel. The officer located the suspect vehicle in the 100 block of NW 6th Avenue. No damage was noted to the roadway.
Police spoke to a resident about a city ordinance violation involving the lack of building permits in the 600 block of NW 1st Street. The subject was referred to City Hall.

Aug. 12:
Police registered a sex offender at the Galva Police Department. The form was completed and emailed to Henry County for LEADS entry.
Trevar Johnson, 19, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery following a report of domestic disturbance in the 600 block of NW 7th Avenue. He was taken to Henry County Jail.
Police assisted a citizen with a civil matter in the 00 block of NW 4th Street.
Police assisted the Kewanee Police Department with checking a few Galva addresses for a suspect in a domestic battery that occurred there. The subject was located and arrested in Kewanee.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of SE 3rd Street.
Police were present during a civil standby to retrieve property in the 300 block of SE 3rd Street.
Colyn Glisan, 29, Galva, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 300 block of NE 1st Street. He was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a loose dog complaint in the 00 block of NE 4th Avenue. The dog was impounded and later returned to its owner.

Police met with a subject who has been registered in Galva as a violent offender against youth. The subject notified the police that he is moving to Cambridge. He was referred to the Sheriff’s Office to register there.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up in the 400 block of NE 9th Street. It was determined to be a misdial.
Police assisted a citizen with answering questions in the 300 block of SE 3rd Street.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up complaint in the 400 block of NE 9th Street. It was determined to be a misdial.
Police assisted a citizen in the 600 block of NW 7th Avenue.
Aug. 15:
Police assisted Henry County with an unruly student on a school bus east of town on Route 34. The juvenile was removed and taken home.
Police responded to a complaint of young children being home alone at a residence on SE 3rd Street. A parent was contacted and forgot that school dismissed early. An adult came over and took custody of the children.
Police attempted to locate a suicidal subject at a residence on NW 7th Avenue. The subject was not located.
Police responded to a parking complaint in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
Police responded to a complaint involving juveniles hanging on the new hoops on the basketball court in Wiley Park. The juveniles were spoken to by the officer.
Phillip Anderson, 29, Geneseo, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of N Center Avenue.

Police responded to a burglary and theft complaint in the 00 block of NE 5th Street.
Police responded to a child custody dispute in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.
Police responded to a theft complaint in the 400 block of SW 3rd Avenue.
Police met with a subject at the Galva Police Department to update their annual sex offender registration. The officer was notified that the subject was moving into rural Galva and was referred to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for registration in their jurisdiction.
Alexis Purdy, 22, Kewanee, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1st Avenue. She was released with a required court date.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up in the 300 block of SE 3rd Street. It was determined to be young children playing with a parent’s phone.
Police responded to a possible domestic battery complaint in the 00 block of SW 5th Street. DCFS was contacted.
Nicholas Lane, 36, Kewanee, was issued citations for improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle following a traffic stop after a request to watch for a reckless driver coming towards Galva. Henry County assisted and ultimately arrested Nicholas for DUI-alcohol as well.

Aug. 17:
Jason Luedee, 51, Galva, was arrested for DUI-alcohol, DUI with a BAC over .08% following a complaint of a confused motorist in the 200 block of NE 1st Street. He was taken to the Galva Police Department for processing and later released with a required court date.
Police responded to a complaint involving an elderly person who wandered away from home and hadn’t returned in the 700 block of NW 4th Avenue. The subject was located at Wiley Park.
Michael Gustafson, 56, Galva, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended following a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Center Avenue. He was released with a required court date.
