
Get ready for a day packed with seasonal fun as the fourth annual Enchanted Pumpkin Festival returns to downtown Kewanee this Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
With over 50 vendors, festival-goers will find everything from artisan products, crafts, food and even plants and pixies as they enjoy a fall afternoon in Kewanee’s Berrien Park.

Attendees can embrace their inner Picasso and take part in pumpkin painting sponsored by the Kewanee Rotary Club, or glimpse into their future with Tarot card readings. A variety of games, activities along with great food are also being offered.
This year’s celebration definitely has something for everyone, including man’s best friend. So dress up your dog in their best costume and head to downtown Kewanee for the Cutest Pup-Kin in the Patch Contest. For a $20 donation, registration will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The contest begins at 1 p.m.
Cutest Pup-Kin is hosted by Elegant Ms. Imperial Nations Heather Frykman and People Bonding with Animals = JOY. The proceeds will assist seniors, veterans and disabled pet owners on fixed incomes keep their pets healthy and out of shelters.
The Kewanee High School All American Cheerleaders and Dancers are also bringing their team spirit to the festival. Stop by their booth for lemonade and cookies. They’ll be offering face painting for the kids and can even help you create your very own fairy garden with potted plants, succulents and accessories.
Attendees can try their luck in their 50/50 drawing for a chance to win $500. All proceeds from their booth will help students participate in the Pearl Harbor Parade in Hawaii later this year.

The spooky fun isn’t over when the Enchanted Pumpkin Festival wraps up at 3 p.m. Head over to the Good’s parking lot for a community-wide Trunk or Treat. You’ll find an assortment of decorated vehicles that are ready to hand out Halloween treats and candy to everyone in attendance.
It’s the perfect way to cap off an autumn day in Kewanee.
