I’m speaking on Florance M. Norman, deemed Kewanee’s most “rabid” Chicago Cubs fan in the 1930s and who discovered and sent four local players to the Cubs for tryouts. Most Kewaneeans know her from her days of leading the Henry County chapter of the Red Cross. But before that, well, baseball occupied a lot of her attention.
