Another Hog Days is under our belts, as people turned out in Kewanee during the 4-day Labor Day weekend. The festival kicked off with a barrow show to crown King Hog and ended with a Kid’s Day on Monday. The final pork chop was sold Monday afternoon.

Entertainment, carnival rides, a flea and craft market, and plenty of food were all part of Hog Days 2024: That’s the Way I Like It!

Kids get a day, too

Face painting was a hit with a long line on Kid’s Day Monday. Photo below, the Kewanee Police Department held their annual dunk tank, which allowed kids to dunk a police officer.
Police officers passed out stickers and other goodies. Below left, the Kewanee Fire Department got into the act with a rescue obstacle course. Below right, D’s Freeze offered tasty, cool treats at the PNB parking lot.
A rock climbing wall gave kids a chance to make it to the top.
